Position Overview

Escher is looking for a Senior Group Financial Accountant to join its Group finance team in Dublin on a contract basis. This role will have exposure to all entities and locations in the Group, Ireland, USA, Canada, UK, Germany, South Africa, Singapore and Malaysia. This position will report to the Group Controller.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of audits at the Group and Statutory level
  • Support in the preparation, review, and analysis of the Group and Statutory financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Support, design & deliver key enhancements in controlling processes and reporting packages including core financial transformation areas
  • Support the Treasury, Tax, Payroll and Accounting teams in delivering enhanced reporting to key internal stakeholders
  • Work across the department and organization to produce required deliverables for financial & corporate reporting processes
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as they arise
  • Support with regulatory filings as required, including the design and delivery of reporting packages to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the reporting
  • Support the integration of business activities of acquired companies or third party service providers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualification Required – ACA / ACCA
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
  • Experience delivering process and control enhancements
  • Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with large Accounting ERP Platforms – Oracle NetSuite is a plus
