Position Overview

Escher is looking for a Sales Operations Manager who has experience with software solutions and experience selling into the public sector, ideally to postal and parcel organizations although.

You will have knowledge of public sector procurement processes and in particular the OJEU process.

We are looking to recruit someone who can develop into the Client Director role in the future and therefore seek someone who is keen to forge a career in Sales, Customer Success, or Partner Program Management.

The successful candidate will be based in the UK, Dublin or Germany.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing proposals and Bid Templates in coordination with Sales, Finance, and Services team members to support customer opportunities identified by the Sales team.
  • Liaise with the Professional Services team to ensure bid templates are completed and returned to the sales team within agreed SLAs
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure invoicing is up to date for customers and all expenses are being paid in a timely manner
  • Liaise with Client Directors to ensure all opportunities are accurately reflected and up to date in Salesforce
  • Work with Client Directors, Marketing, and Product Strategy to develop and deliver customer presentations ensuring consistency of messaging across the business.
  • Attend customer meetings, taking ownership of actions and outputs
  • Monitor competitor activity and prepare regular updates for Sales Team to ensure a full understanding of the competitive landscape in which we operate.
  • Manage a bid tracker to monitor activity and track success (KPIs)
  • Carry out client debriefs whether won or lost and feedback to internal stakeholders
  • Support management of Client Accounts and the development and updating of account plans
  • Work with Escher partners such as Hurricane, Intagrex and SAP in order to develop compelling customer propositions

Director of Marketing

Requirement / Experience

Ideally, we would like someone who has a second language beyond English, preferably German and has the following skills:

  • Educated to a degree level
  • 3 – 7 years experience working in a Sales environment, preferably within a complex, diverse environment
  • Strong capability with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint), as well as strong business English, written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with real attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze complex client needs and work across the business to determine a suitable response
  • Ability to work on own initiative and take ownership of customer issues.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred but, not essential.

  • International Travel capability
  • 2nd language an advantage preferably German, French or Spanish
  • Self-motivated, driven and passionate about the Customer
  • Postal/Logistics/eCommerce experience is a huge Plus!

The candidate with best mix of experience, skills, training, and can-do attitude will be selected.
