Management Team

Liam Church, President & CEO

Liam Church is a Director of Escher Group and rejoined the company as CEO in October 2007. Mr. Church previously worked for the postal service in Ireland for 22 years and, prior to joining Escher Group, was the CEO of a wealth management company in Ireland. His key focus is on the process of change within postal organizations and the use of technology to drive business growth and accelerate the profitability. Over the course of his career, Mr. Church has been responsible for numerous, large-scale business and IT projects within the postal industry. 

 

Fionnuala Higgins, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Fionnuala Higgins joined Escher Group in April 2000 as a result of Escher’s acquisition of Anshe Ltd. The Anshe acquisition established Escher’s legal presence in Ireland and serves as the base of the company’s European operations. Ms. Higgins is responsible for leading the company’s European and international sales and business development efforts and has over 25 years experience in the computer industry. She was a co-founder in Anshe and held senior management positions at An Post, including General Manager for Counters Technology, and Technology Director for Post Consult International. Prior to joining An Post in 1986, Ms. Higgins held technical and management positions in both public and private sector companies. 

 

Trevor McIntyre, Chief Financial Officer

Having worked for ten years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwCIL), AIG Life (Ireland) and KPMG South Africa, Trevor joined Escher Group’s management team in 2007. He sat his PDipAcc at Rhodes University, South Africa and took a Masters in Finance at the National College of Ireland, Dublin, where he achieved 1st class honours. His core experience lies in financial management, due diligence, fundraising modelling and deal support. At Escher he manages a dedicated financial department which comprises staff in Boston, Dublin and Singapore. 

 

David Fleming, Chief Technology Officer, Escher Group

David Fleming joined Escher Group in 2000 and as CTO has overall responsibility for technology across the group and is charged with ensuring that the technology assets of the company are maximized. Previously, Mr. Fleming held the position of CTO and Head of Development at Escher Europe where he was responsible for the development program and Principal Architect at Anshe Ltd where he lead the creation of innovative product architectures. Mr. Fleming has also held a number of positions at Post Consult International, IBM, and Microsoft. While at Escher, Mr. Fleming has lead many successful technology initiatives and counter automation projects for customers which are live globally today. Mr. Fleming holds a B.Sc (Honors) Degree in Computer Science. 

 

Jacob Skowronek, Executive Vice President, Boston Operations and Engineering

Jacob Skowronek joined the Escher software development team in April 1996.  Since then, he has been involved with a majority of the technologies present in the Escher product set today. Mr. Skowronek was placed in charge of the North American development team in 2003 and is now responsible for all operations at the Boston office. Prior to joining Escher, Mr. Skowronek worked for internet application and service companies. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Brandeis University.

 

Jasjit Nehal, Managing Director Escher Asia Pacific Pte Ltd

Jasjit Nehal joined Escher Group in 1999 and was Vice President of Software Development at its headquarters in Cambridge until 2002 when he assumed overall responsibility for Escher’s Asia Pacific operations based in Singapore. He has been responsible for the successful delivery of a number of Escher’s counter automation projects and brings with him the experience gained from development projects in post offices across the globe. In addition to Mr. Nehal’s extensive knowledge of the postal industry, he has over 20 years experience working for large IT companies like ICL and Fujitsu in a variety of senior technical and management positions including being the lead architect of the highly successful Singapore Post POST21 Counter Automation system which was based on Escher’s technology.   

 

Jeremy Folkes, Executive Vice President, Product Strategy

Jeremy Folkes has worked in the postal technology business since 1987, with his first 13 years spent in the UK Post Office, before joining Escher Group in 2000. During his time with the UK Post Office he played major roles in a number of counter automation initiatives, within what is one of the world’s largest postal companies. Prior to taking up his current role in 2009, Jeremy held the position of VP Professional Services in Escher for a number of years, working very closely with each of our major customers. This has given him significant insight into both the business and technical needs of a range of customers across the world, along with real-world experience of IT operations in major postal organizations. Jeremy holds a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and a MA from Trinity College, Oxford. Prior to moving into the postal business Jeremy worked for Logica, a major UK software house, on a number of large projects for blue chip companies in both the oil and technology sectors, and for the prior to that in a scientific research institution for the UK gas safety industry.

 

Peter Tichy, Executive Vice President, Client Services

A graduate of the University of Linz, Peter has fifteen years experience in a postal technology environment, particularly with Austria Post where he implemented postal counter automation in 1998. Since joining Escher Group in January 2000, Peter has risen to the position of EVP of Client Services, with global responsibility for account management including Riposte® implementation, project quality management and coordination of all Escher projects.

Prior to working with Austria Post, Peter held positions in PORSCHE Informationssysteme GmbH and has extensive experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and large scale database systems.

 

Peter Dreifus, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Dreifus joined Escher in June 2001 and prior to his current role as Chief Operating Officer served as the Company’s Interim President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Dreifus has more than 25 years experience working with technology companies and, prior to joining Escher, held a variety of senior finance positions at Sequence Design, Inc., Avery Dennison Corporation and the accounting, tax and consulting firm Deloitte. Mr. Dreifus earned a B.S. degree in Management from the University of Massachusetts and is a Certified Public Accountant.
