New CaledoniaThe New Caledonia Post and Telecommunications Office (OPT-NC) wanted to replace their home-grown system with standard, proven, point of sale (POS) technology. This was to facilitate the automation of existing counter transactions and the acquisition of new, customer-driven activities in the postal, telecommunications and financial services using a single system. Escher’s RiposteEssential software was selected for the island-wide network of post offices, and New Caledonia became a member of Escher’s worldwide Riposte family.
