Boston, Mass. - December 7, 1999 - Escher Group, provider of the world's leading postal automation software, Riposte, will participate in PaperCom Europe's "Pursuing Intelligent Paper" program on December 7, 1999, at the Royal Air Force Club in Piccadilly, London. The Group's presentation will be led by its technical team, and its paper, "What paper already knows," will encompass a variety of innovative 'Intelligent Document' technologies pioneered by Escher Group, including advanced symbologies, physical security for paper documents, and "penny-tag" technologies.
The half-day seminar focuses on the research and development efforts to create printed paper documents and literature, readable by computer-linked scanners as well as humans. This technology can be applied to catalogs, brochures, magazines, and any other literature, where customer or subscriber interaction via a PC and the Internet would add value. Other industry experts who will present on paper-based technology include: Wayne Wilkerson, manager, metering services, United States Postal Service (USPS); Robert Reisner, vice president, strategic planning, USPS; and Maynard Benjamin, president of PaperCom and the Envelope Manufacturers Association of North America (EMA).
