Boston, Mass. - May 12, 1999 - Escher Group, provider of the world's leading postal automation software, Riposte, will speak in a panel session on "The Intelligent Envelope" at the National Postal Forum in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, May 17. The panel will feature industry experts Robert Reisner, U.S. Postal Service (USPS) vice president for strategic planning; Joseph Freitas, USPS manager of business partners; and Maynard Benjamin, president of the Envelope Manufacturers Association. "The Intelligent Envelope: New Technologies for Crafting Smart Mail" will focus on current and future technologies to incorporate tracking, tracing and value-added information on a mailpiece, and the benefits that intelligent indicia and new materials can bring to the postal community. Escher staff will illustrate how the company is working in advanced symbologies, physical security for paper documents and penny tag technologies.

The National Postal Forum was founded in 1968 to assist the USPS in building relationships with and educating mailers in the most effective and efficient use of the products and services offered by the USPS. Held in the spring and fall each year, its meetings bring the USPS together with its customers, suppliers and business partners.
